Shannon has loved music, art, and working with children since she was a child herself. Since earning her BFA, her varied teaching experiences have included elementary school teaching, coaching pre-school gymnastics, a pre-K class for Classical Conversations®, and homeschooling her own children. Shannon studied voice at the Mississippi University for Women and in Helsinki, Finland with a voice coach for the Swedish Opera. In Mississippi she performed with the Mississippi University for Women’s Chorale. More recently she has sung in North Carolina with the Cumberland Oratorio Singers and with the Delhi Chamber Choir in New Delhi, India. Shannon has completed the Music Together Teacher training and is a Registered Music Together Teacher. She is married to a Lt Col in the Air Force and has three children ages 10, 6, and 1-1/2.
